為了實(shí)現(xiàn)跨洋洲際海底光纖通信,在G.652單模光纖基礎(chǔ)上進(jìn)一步研究出了截止波長(zhǎng)位移單模光纖,G.654光纖折射率剖面結(jié)構(gòu)形狀與G.652單模光纖基本相同。G.654光纖是通過(guò)采用純二氧化硅(SiO2)纖芯來(lái)降低光纖衰減,靠包層摻雜F使折射率下降而獲得所需要的折射率差。與G.652光纖相比,G.654光纖性能上的突出特點(diǎn)是:在1550nm工作波長(zhǎng),衰減系數(shù)極小,僅為0.15dB/km左右;通過(guò)截止波長(zhǎng)位移方法,大大改善了光纖的彎曲附加損耗。ITU-T建議將截止波長(zhǎng)位移單模光纖定義為G.654光纖。
應(yīng)用環(huán)境
G.654光纖主要用于海纜通信系統(tǒng),為適應(yīng)海纜通信長(zhǎng)距離、大容量的需求。
產(chǎn)品特點(diǎn)
(1)降低光纖的損耗;從G.652的0.22dB/km降到了0.19dB/km(標(biāo)準(zhǔn)值)
(2)增大光纖的模場(chǎng)直徑;光纖的模場(chǎng)直徑越大,通過(guò)光纖橫截面的能量密度就越小,從而改善光纖的非線(xiàn)性***應(yīng),提升光纖通信系統(tǒng)的信噪比。
